Waning Crescent Moon
I’m trying hard to get to Ogallala NE for the 4th. After that, it’s 30 miles to Colorado. The scenery has begun to change a little already, with sandhills rising ever so slightly on either side of the Platte River valley.
I’m too pooped to provide much color commentary tonight. There is a very nice 20th Century Veterans Memorial here on the southern edge of North Platte NE. It is kind of a grey somber day, a lot cooler with intermittent light misty rain. Here are some pictures of the under-construction memorial park.
I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Independence Day weekend.
